Whenever I try to draw something outside my comfort zone.
EVERYBODY KNEADS SOMEBODY
This made me think of Alan and his mom. After he had the thrombosis (that later needed an amputation because one of his legs mumified), the vet recommended to massage his legs to help bloodflow, and regrow vessels. One day I see him sleeping (on the bed, heh), and his mom walked up to him, and started kneading that exact area where he needed to be massaged. She never did it before (plus Alan was too thin to be actually good ‘kneading material’), so it was kind of amazing how she knew what had to be done in order to save his legs. Oh, and we had to keep him warm, too, so we would put a watter bottle underneath him and blankets on top, while she would lie on top of him. Animal knowledge…
Btw, the leg that was affected the most at the initial moment is the one that he can now move and jump with. The mummified one helped him as a crutch to heal the other one.
